I know I can email that person through the group without seeing their email address, but that won't work because I need to send attachments, and I don't think you can do that through Yahoo! Groups.
How can I see the full email address of an email listed in yahoo groups like "a_short_film@..." ?
you'll need to then ask that member for their full address. you can send atthments through Yahoo groups, it depends on the groups settings if they allow it or not.

Why did he give me a fake email address?
My boyfriend he is just so shy and we talk minimum but he walks me to places and he is so adorably sweet.but when i asked him for his email address he gave me a fake one that did not work because he is really shy and never had any thing for communication is that why he wanted to impress me or why do you guys think he did that?

Maybe he didn't do it on purpose. You said that he isn't big on communication so maybe he hasn't been on that email for a long time. I remember a few years ago I lost an email account because I didn't go on it often. I don't know if that rule still exists but it could.
Another reason could be that he is nervous about talking to you on email. Sometimes people sound different on writing than in real life. He could be afraid that he wouldn't know what to say when you email him and he has to reply in some way and make things awkward.
There could be other reasons but try to be optimistic and give things a chance or you might accidentally become too accusative.
